Loan Advice

Options
Hi,
Looking for some advice on a loan application as am new to all of this.
I am British but spent some time living in Australia with my wife and have only been back in the UK for the last 2 years and most of the loan applications that I have looked at require you to have been resident in the UK for 3 years. My current credit rating is good, I am on the electoral role, I have a credit card and well kept overdraft facility.
Does anyone know if a lender or lenders will generally accept an application from someone here for less than 3 years or will it seriously hinder my application:confused: ?
Also are your chances of acceptance generally increased if you make a joint application and both have good credit ratings?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'd try major banks who are offering good deals on the loans, ie low repayment interest. I'd put your australian address in as one of your places of residence then if they question it you can tell them the truth as you have said your on the electrol role, got a good rating and am british.

Perhaps you should speak to a Customer advisor prior to applying for any loan to see how much if would affect you getting the loan. Then you wont lose out in any respect.

Do a few phone calls or visits to the banks first, don't continue filling in forms or web applications .If these are credit checked against your credit file and the loan is then refused your credit score is going to be wrecked very quickly.
