When can I start looking for a new deal?

My current fixed rate comes to an end in the middle of December...when can I start looking for a new fixed rate?

Thanks in advance.

Now, ASAP in fact if you're planning on changing lenders.

You can arrange a remortgage 'upto' six months before the end of your current deal - varies between companies though.
  • Ok thanks very much. Wish I'd known earlier!

sorry to hijack the thread but , i was wondering can you book a deal with a mortgage provider in the future ? i.e if your current deal ends say mid December , can you book a deal now X fixed for 2 years , and then cancel if the general rate drops before mid December ?
