Anyone know how to remove entries from Credit Files?`

Hi All,
I don't know if this is the correct section, but yesterday I got my credit reports (all 3), and they are showing accounts on there that are settled, with £0 balance, yet showing as default - I think they are showing as default, due to the time taken to pay them out - however, now they are paid off, is it possible to have them removed from the report at all?

I am trying to improve my credit score (it's currently Poor), and I don't think having these on the report is helping? Although I could be wrong!!

Thanks for your help,

:j

Did you default on payments? In other words fail to make the contractual/minimum payments under any agreement?

If so, then the defaults should remain on the report for 6 years from the initial default date, regardless of whether the debt is later paid off.
