Tesco clothing vouchers

I have never shoplifted and am not llikely to start now just because Tesco have introduced a cost cutting method of self scan, if they don't trust their customers then go back to SA manned tills. Takes forever to get through self scan won't bother unless I have vouchers that make it worthwhile.

Are you so self centred that you believe I was accusing you of something, rather than just making a comment to which, as you say, had no good purpose in this forum - just a bad day on my part most likely. You need to just consider that people reading these forums, maybe unlike yourself, may abuse or consider abusing these machines, albeit not in to greater amounts I'm sure. And scanning multiple 'unacceptable' vouchers is abuse >>IMO<<, you have to remeber machines are dumb and rely on humans to tell them what to do, if the humans balls it up then the machine becomes crippled for regular customers (e.g. requiring authorisation for every penny inserted!).
Cost cutting yes they maybe, but they break down and are expensive enough in the first place that they cost a similar amounts to the equivilant amount of SAs. What it also means is that the need for three (assuming 4 machines) less cashiers are needed, while you may say you'd rather have cashiers on tills... Tesco isn't always busy and that many staff are not always required, and having them sat around doing nothing just makes prices go up.
Slow they are, but that's because people who use them make mistakes (admitedly the machines can have a barney over nothing) or are to timid to ask someone for help or instruction unless it all breaks. The machine have clear instructions on them but many people just don't read/listen, e.g. 'notes are dispensed bellow the screen'... Guess how many people stand looking at the machine blankly waiting for a note to appear from somewhere.
FWIW; I use self-scan as preference because they usally don't have big queues and I can use them quickly, scanning them items in an order I want and pay without having to do some much as even enter a PIN.0
