Ppi award but claimed back

Have received award from BOS for £2694.91 but they set this against sainsbury credit card which I have been in arrears with due to ill health. I did have a payment plan but could not keep up the payments, have to work from home now and my income is very low.
Can they do this ? Do I have any claim on this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am on a DMP and claiming PPI back from 1 of my creditors. The FOS has informed me that, if successful, it will be set off against what I owe on the card. I'm happy with that because it lowers what I owe (although it was a nice thought that maybe I would receive it and spread it between all the creditors).0
