Hi all
I applied online last month to be an avon representative. The lady from my area has just got in contact but due to my hours at uni being a lot more this year I'm not sure I'll have time to do it. Does anyone just sell to their friends and family or do you need to be able to go round the houses?
Thanks

I used to sell just to my friends and workmates, only went round the street once but no one was interested. I didn't make a fortune on it by any means but each order was worth at least £130 and can't remember what my profit was cos i'd always bought stuff
It depends how much you want to nmake from it. You might get loads of orders at uni!

Thanks, yes thats what I was hoping! Its just so much easier for me if I dont need to allocate a day a week to go round my village. I have emailed her back and asked that so hopefully she will say friends and family is fine0

I was never allocated an area for my first campaign (ends Monday) and so far ive made over £100 from my family/friends/work colleagues. Ive now been "given" territory after kicking up a little. So hopefully I can at least double this.
So if youve got loads of friends and family esp uni mates chances are youll make a good profit0 -
You don't have to have a territory if you don't want to - lots of reps just sell to friends, family, work colleagues etc - you can ask your relatives/friends if they will show their neighbours/friends etc your brochures, getting you extra orders in without any effort on your part....you may want to offer them a 10% discount on their order as a thank you, you will still earn from their order, but you will also get your full earnings from any orders they get in for you.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Great thanks everyone
Regarding tax on my earnings, do I include it in my self employment figures or do Avon tax me as I earn?
Thanks0 -
You need to declare yourself self-employed, and put into onto that form - avon do not do anything with tax!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Hi LJC89, I have asked a Board Guide to merge your post with the current Avon Hints and Tips thread.
Reason is the questions you are asking are the same questions as probably others are thinking, and the replies are great and would be of benefit to a lot of people.
Good luck with the Avon.0
