Hello There

Hello there,

Ive stopped lurking all you lovely people and decided to post my (compared to others) minor debt dilemma!

ok so ive currently got an OD of £1000, which i basically live in every month, i want to decrease this gradulayy up untill Xmas ( £50 per month) and then after Xmas pay as much off as possible each month.

Also got a Credit card with Barclays, i cut this up (thank god!) in june and have since then paid £1200 off this, just £300 left and this is also now being paid off at £50 per month till Xmas then hopefully should pay the remainder in January.

Feels good to get rid of it all, even though it is only minor debt compared to others i just want it gone!!!

thought id share it with you all

Nathan

P.s- after reading about all the E-baying advocated on here i decided to do some myself. raised £183.67p in a week selling old dvds books and some t-shirts!!!

:T

  • Well done!

You seem to have picked up some good habits :T It is important to remember that no matter the level of debt it is good to keep that feeling of 'I want it all gone' :p I wouldn't compare against others as it might lead to you feeling a complacent once it gets to a reasonable amount.

I was living in my overdraft for a while and it does get tricky at times however since I've got a new bank account without an overdraft and I have my wages paid into there, I can make regular payments to my overdraft and treat it like a separate debt. Then I don't worry about my overdraft swallowing up my wages each payday. Far more motivating.

    Keep up the ebaying!

Will you be posting your statement of affairs to see if we can help you to save any more? :D
  • i would post my SOA but you'd all go mad at me! ( 3 mobile phone contracts totalling £100 a month).

currently im not struggling (have £200+ after all debts and bills paid per month) this goes towards socialising and the like, this is alot, but i am 19 and i am getting on top of things.....Plus ive got 6 bros and sisters at my mums that need Xmas pressies and the like!!!!

if i posted a SOA you would all probably want to Shoot me! :P
