Any product recommendations to stop cats using my back garden as there toilet

Neighbour has recently got 2 cats and they have taken to using our lawn as there own outside toilet.

Apart from shoving a cork up there derriere is there a proven affordable product on the market that stops the little blighters. I have 150ft back garden unfenced so them spikey things are a no go. But they seem to be attracted to a 10m x 5m area right in the middle of the lawn.

I've heard moth balls put them off.

Save used tea bags, squeeze them and soak them in Jeyes Fluid and place them around the garden, if you put them in the borders you can sprinkle a little soil over them and they still work. Put them on your lawn and watch the cats scarper. They hate the smell. My Mum had the same problem 4 cats either side of her terrace. After I did this for her she has no more cats mess. I promise it works.

My mum has a next door neighbour who has 3 or 4 cats who have been using her garden as a toilet aswell.. it's been driving her nuts for ages.. she's just bought one of those electronic devices which is mounted on her wall and which is wired to the mains.. it is unbelievably effective and there's now none of the neighbours cats anywhere near her garden, she is elated about this.

PS: My mum has a cat and he doesn't seem bothered by it  although he doesn't actually poo in his own garden ;)

my m in law has a friend who always has cats in her garden so she has bought some sort of gadget (not sure what but could find out) she only set it to work on a night time it apparently lets out a huge screech (like a cat) when a cat goes near it,
she tried for the the 1st time on friday night and she jumped out of bed when she heard it to see a cat sitting on a neighbours fence opposite, it looked terrified she said:rotfl:

Heehee! the one my mum has is silent to humans so only the cats can hear it! lol! :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • You can buy an ultra sonic device which can be set to give offer a sound only cats can hear. It's so horrible to their ears, it keeps them away from the vicinity of the sound. These devices can also be set to warn off birds, or other animals you don't want venturing into your garden. Not harmless to anything either, just unpleasant.
