Need help for mortgage deal

We are first time buyer and try to purchase a 230,000 property. Currently, we have 130,000 deposit. Simply we need to borrow 100,000. But it is difficult to decide which is the best deal. Fix or variable? It looks like that HSBC 1.99% discount is a very good deal. But we are lack of confidence to be sure about that. Welcome any suggestion!
