HappySad: I found using Tiger Balm (not keen on the smell of Deep Heat) worked great in warming up muscles before working out (as well as stretching) and after to "cool" the muscle down -- it also works well before going for a ramble! Maybe worth a try the next time you use the x-trainer?0

I used to get horrible cramps in my toes. Dehydration seemed to play a part, so if I was crampy I'd down a couple of big glasses of water. Sometimes this helped, sometimes it didn't. I now take 300mg of magnesium citrate a day at bedtime and haven't suffered cramp since doing so. Do a google on magnesium & cramp. I get mine from Holland & Barrett.0

I have some friends who get cramps at night and they swear that putting a plain bar of soap in the bottom of the bed stops it....

hi i've not read all the replies but i'm pregnant and suffer with leg cramps in the night, did with my other children too, i often wake screaming, never seen other half move so quickly, i read somewhere about eating bananas to prevent it, and when you have a cramp try standing on a cold bathroom floor, not easy getting there though.0
