Mercedes Personal Finance

I recently applied for a a personal lease on a new vehicle with mercedes benz only to find that it got refused. I have checked both my credit report and credit score on experian which are both very good with no problems. I then wrote to mercedes benz finance to find out what the issue was - they basically replied saying I had been refused and that was the end of the matter. How on earth am I supposed to rectify the problem if I have no idea why I was refused the finance in he first place as mercedes benz have been less than helpful.

I have decided to take my business elsewhere but would like to make sure dont encounter the problem with other companies.

Can anybody offer any advice?

Thanks

As well as checking your credit records, finance companies will also do affordability and other checks. Each bank or finance company will have its own scorecard.

It could be that they thought the loan was a bit high versus your income, how long you had been in your current job, job security of people in your industry - all kind of things.

Alternatively it could just be that someone entered your information into a computer incorrectly!

As Mercedes were unhelpful it seems taking your business elsewhere was the right move.

  • plenty of lease company's out there that will do vastly better deals than MB unless you don't want a mainstream model and load it with extra's

    Ling often has good deals
