On May 3rd at 2:11:00 PM, the text on the page was changed from

"You must validate your account via the email received in order for your PiggyPoints to be credited"

To:

"You must validate your account via the email received in order for your PiggyPoints to be credited. This will be sent automatically after you register"

Therefore, as far as I can tell, there's never really been any big change of how you get your PiggyPoints... just trying to explain it better the following day. PiggyPoints are due at around the start of June...
