Help with payplan

Thank you for your reply, I am very nervous of being in debt, and I am new to this and I thought I had found peace of mind with payplan, but I was quite shocked about how much I had to pay, and the fact that it did not make much of a difference to the whole amount I owe. I was scared of being sent to court and having people call to the house.
All my creditors are credit cards, and some have only now stopped charging me interest, payplan did not help, they say that they can not make them stop.
My payplan adviser told me that the creditors expect me to pay 3% extra every year, I tried to explain that my bills were going up, he said that he can take more off my food bill.
I wonder if you could advise me who is best to deal with my problem , and what is cca.
Any advise you can give will be gratefully received.
Thank you

Hi
I have contacted payplan and they have advised me to cut down on my food bill so that I can afford the 3% rise in my payments, they say that if I drop my payments to a much lower amount then I will have to leave and go it alone.
So I feel that I could not manage this, so I am going to just struggle along and hopfully be able to keep up with the payments.
The thing that is very disheartening is the fact that some of my creditors "namely Barclaycard" still charging interest each month, I really do wonder why I bother.
Any advise on what I should do.
Thank you

I am with Payplan and had my 1st year review in July, I managed to put a small increase in but nowhere near 3%. My friend hasn't been able to raise her's for the past 2 years. I would contact them again and ask for another review.

Hi
I have had a quick chat with someone from ccca, I am to phone back on Monday.
My question is:-
I am on a DMP with payplan at the moment but I am finding it a struggle to pay the set amount every month, and they seem to be pushing their products on me every time I ask them anything.
So I was wondering if I could change my DMP and be with CCCA, they seemed very helpful and nice, I do not want to mess anything up with my creditors but I am finding it hard and sole destroying to be paying £155 every month and I am still being charged interest on sum of my debts, and the fact that I have paid £1700 off since November, and I owe only £400 less then when I started, because of the companies, that are or still have charged me interest over the first several months, I also am told that my debt will be paid off in Jan 2045.
I can not see light at the end of the tunnel with this, but I am also frightening of going it alone, like some of you brave people have.
Any advise would be greatfully received.
Thank you

There is nothing to stop you from changing who you have your DMP with.
I believe CCCS have something on your site that you can fill in to see if a DMP is advised or if another alternative is more suitable. They should also be asking the creditors to stop interest and charges, but actually getting it to happen is not guaranteed. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
