West Bromwich Mortgage claim success

After reading about excessive mortage exit fee's on here i wrote a polite letter to my previous mortgage company, West Bromwich Building Society asking what i paid for my exit fee as i wanted to see if it was fair, as we couldnt locate documents stating what we paid at the time.

This letter was sent on monday (21st sept) and in this mornings post (24th sept) i received a letter stating that I had paid £300 and the applicable fee for the year was £165, they apologised and sent a form to sign and claim for the refund of the difference.... £135!!!!

Cant beleive it, 10 minutes work and a first class stamp and £135 of well needed funds.
