small double (4ft) bedding

hello
please move if this is in the wrong place.

I am thinking of getting my children a small double bed each (4ft) as opposed to a standard double bed.

This should hopefully solve the problem of where to sleep when we have visitors but not take up as much space in their bedrooms.

Before I do, can anyone please tell me how easy it is to buy fitted sheets for them. Obviously I can use a standard double quilt & cover.

I don't want to get them and find it I can't take advantage of any bargain bedding as and when it comes up.

many thanks

  • not sure on specifics, but i have one (my mum and dad bought it for exactly the same reason) and i use ordinary "double" bedding
  • We use ordinary double sheets for our 3/4 size beds, they are fine - there's not usually much spare, and just tuck in

    Try narrowboatbedding.com

We use them on our boat which has a 4ft bed
  • Hi Rosie-Lee

Just enter 4' fitted sheet into google, you will get loads of links, I have bought for my teenage son's bed from one these sites can never remember - linens4less, or linensdirect and sheets are great and good value too. More importantly, got a fitted mattress protector, these do have to fit well.
NB These sites also do larger and odd sizes and shapes.
  • Hi we have one in our spare room, and recently i got some from Boundary Mill stores, I orded them from the beldorm department and they were about £9 each, but i've noticed them now on ebay cheaper, also they do egyptian cotton ones too on there.
