3 bed house in Nottingham for 245K. That is silly. It looks horrible, too.

That's hilarious, only you could assume ISTL saw it as a recovery when he didn't mention the word at all. He was simply supplying the numbers actually taken out as opposed to mewbies (deliberately daft) assumption of zero.
(Oh and it was a small fall not a rise but I don't s'pose that you count higher than 10 anyhow do you?)

    You hackneyed "humourists"

You Btlers, it's all about semantic with you ;)

Just cos he didn'T say recovery don't mean he doesn't mean it, wish for it and even get down on his knees every night in his jim-jams and pray for it. He insinuates it, intimates it, alludes to it and posts anything he can find to do with it so my professional opinion is the only argument you and he have got mate is to try and pick apart my (and Mewbs) words cos you got nothing else:D
You can't win an argument with a stupid person.

I'm dyslexic ie I can't be @rsed to check for typos

It's nothing to do with semantics, it's about facts.

What your saying here is you see what is on the screen but interpret it in anyway you wish, regardless of what is said.

I posted facts (Try reading it again http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=25408805&postcount=22), with a link to back it up, nothing more, nothing less.
If anyone is getting on their knees and praying for something, it is you I think.
It was not hard to pick apart Mewbs post as it was factually incorrect. I've yet to see your post proove mine otherwise

OH has just spotted a house which interests her....needs a good deal of work but is below the 400K bracket, which represents a price point round here.

I reckon we have equivalent value in our current property, which doesnt explain why the whole process leaves me feeling so nervous?

It's not like we are seeking to buy a house as an investment.

Are others holding off because they feel uncertain about the near future?

Fungus is fine and we should cut him a bit of slack due to the depressing job he does.

You're being a bit brave - venturing to make some postings. Hope you have your little army of aliases ready to rumble. Perhaps you are feeling like a big man today.

Mewbie, no just a bit excited. Make sure you watch BBC 2 at 17:30 so you can see the rebirth of our great football team.
Look above where the players come out and you will see me and my boy in our Blue team shirts singing our hearts out for the lads.
