Options
Hello,

I've been given a fridge freezer by a friend which is bigger then mine so will hold for food for when I make large quantities, but it smells!

Shes a smoker and inside smells of smoke? Any ideas on how I can remove this smell?

Any help will be greatly recieved!

I use a lemon cut in half and it eliminates the odours.

  • Thanks for that, will give it a try,

Do I leave the lemon in there or do I give the inside a rub with the lemon half?

Bicarb of soda is supposed to help with fridges and freezers. Where was she smoking to leave the smell inside the freezer.

Combine both of the above! Mix a little bicarb of soda with some lemon juice & a little water to make a paste - them simply use this to clean the fridge. The smell will disappear in no time!
Treat others as you would like to be treated :A
  • She smokes in her kitchen and I'm guessing smokey air got trapped inside!
  • Just tried lemon and bicarb and its made an instant improvement! :grouphug:

I wish I could thank you but the buttons missing!

If it's been stood in her kitchen while she smokes then you also need to wipe over the o/side thoroughly but also ... the cable/lead/plug ;) The smell of nicotine will permeate those too.
