Quick Quidco query

Hi,
I need to book 3 hotel rooms. On Quidco there is £10 cashback per booking. Can I make 3 separate bookings and go via the £10 link each time to earn £30 in total? (it doesn't say for new users / first booking only) ?
Also, I thought I read somewhere that with Quidco you don't have to purchase using the email address registered on your Quidco account in order for the cashback to work. I can't find confirmation of this anywhere, does anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks.

Hi bootsbabe, there is a thread on the referrals board for quidco queries (monitored by a quidco member of staff). This question has in fact been asked before and the reply was for three separate bookings. Make sure that you completely clear the cookies between each booking.
Yes you are right about the email address. It is the cookie that tracks the transaction, not the email. Good luck with the hotels.0 -
Thanks for replying. I had found the huge Quidco threads, but I've spent over half an hour reading through posts on there (and still am only about 5% through the thread!) so I have to say I gave up.
I'm confused by what you've said - sorry if i'm being slow to catch on. Sounds like you're saying I should make booking 1, then clear my cookes. Then make booking 2, then clear cookes. Then booking 3, then clear cookies. And it doesnt matter which email address I use, is that right?
But if the transaction is tracked by cookies, then surely if I clear the cookies after the first transaction then that booking will no longer be tracked?0 -

Wrong. As the transaction should have gone through, i.e booking made and you get confirmation then thats the end of the cookies' jobs with regards to that specific task. (The cookies and transaction will already be in the system of the tracking company and will need confirmation by the merchant ie. the hotel company.)But if the transaction is tracked by cookies, then surely if I clear the cookies after the first transaction then that booking will no longer be tracked?
The reason why you need to clear your cookies for each booking to get the £10, is so that the merchant's system or the tracking company will think you are a new customer, by giving or following cookies for each session. If you don't clear your cookies after each booking, then you won't be able to get the £30 cashback.
If you're worried about the transaction not going through, after booking each room, do other things online, read the news or other things. Log off the net, clear your cookies and your cache settings. Log back onto the net, go to Quidco, click on the hotel merchant and make your "new" (second) booking, then browse or surf the net. Repeat as above for the 3rd booking. I would space out each transaction, say like 5-10 mins. Hopefully you should get all the cashback.

HIBS, thanks for that clarification. I understand now
Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem, I will give it a go this afternoon. If it works I'll have to remember this for future as I'm sure I'll need to make multiple purchases again sometime.
Thanks again
