bought goods from catalogue. didn't realise that they charge for credit. I pay £65 a month and they pocket £31. should I have been asked to sign an agreement or something? sure I didn't. they are no cheaper than anyone else and I want to pay for my stuff but feel a bit miffed at having to pay twice as much as other catalogue customers.

Are you using the credit facility? Do you owe them money?
If so you should have signed a credit agreement and they should be able to provide a copy of this for your records.0 -
Thanks fonz. don't know about credit facility. Have written to ask them to provide agreement. Can't remember signing anything. Ordered using advert in magazine if I remember correctly. Totally unsure.0

Soory. Yes - do owe them money which I want to repay - it's just that they take a big chunk of my payment in theses 'charges' and I think I'll be paying forever!0

does it not state the conditions in every catalogue?0

Pay off the goods and don't order any more. Its very simple, take it as a lesson learned.
Catalogues such as Empire,Kays etc etc etc have always been more expensive than buying from the high street. They clearly say how much an item is if you pay over say 50 weeks, theres always interest to pay.
Try searching online for items you wish to buy, shopping bots are a good start...........0 -
Catalogues are terribly priced to start with and horrendous if you use their credit facilities. Get rid of.0
