Bad credit loan success????

Let me first begin by saying I would prefer not to receive critisism for my past. I do honestly understand that in the past I should have been more careful with my spending. But the past is the past and I am paying the consequence of that already.
The thing is due to some very unforseen circumstances I find myself in need of around £2500.
I have scanned the tinterweb for bad credit loans but only tend to find brokers requesting large fees for 'accepting me as their customer' (clever wording)
I am aware that I would have to pay a higher APR for being high risk and appreciate that but over the last 3 years I have worked hard to restore my previously terrible credit record. If I don't manage to get this money I might end up blemishing my record further.
Therefore my question is:
Has anyone with bad credit been succesfull at obtaining a loan and where did they get it from? especially interested if it was from a lender as opposed to a broker. That said a gen broker would also do.

Thanks for now

  • Ive been looking for similar info to your post.

Would be interested to find out if anyone has any response to your post.
  • I`ve been trying also for a loan for about £2000, would be good to know where to get one.
I`ve since paid off all my debt in full over the past 2-3 months but not sure how long it stays on my credit file and what to do to get it off etc.

Hope someone out there can help.

    Thanks

  • Sounds like a job for a Credit Union! They're set up to assist with poor credit histories - although they'll expect you to have got things together now - and charge fairly reasonable rates. You will need to open a savings account, but most let you borrow straight away.

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.
