Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy castor oil on-line or in the shops. Had a look at a few pharmacies on-line like boots e.t.c but i'm having no luck. Any ideas ???.
Thanks

I think I saw some in our chemist.
Daft question but is it to drink or for the ear?
If it is to clear a build up of ear wax (as it was for our 5 year old) our doctor said to use normal olive oil.
I bought the small bottle with a dropper from the chemist for 49p and just filled it with extra virgin olive oil but he said any kind of olive oil will do, even cooking oil!0 -
Hi
It's to drink. My fiancee wants to try an old fish tale out. she's now 2days overdue with our first and is really fed up. We can't seem to get it anywhere though.0 -
Try a really hot curry as it is also supposed to work."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Take a look in your local paper to find the nearest 24 hour chemist and give them a bell!0

Your local chemist will sell some - if you can find one open over bank holiday, instore pharmacy in a supermarket maybe.
Probably best not to tell the assistant or pharmacist why you're purchasing it as it really isnt recommended by health professionals.
I'm a day or so overdue but I couldn't bring myself to drink it , it's fat at the end of the day - urghh!
It's a frustating time for us pregnant and fed up girls, I know I cant wait for things to get moving. As already mentioned hot curry is another "old wives tale" to induce labour.
As a last measure, another "activity" that's said to help induce labour is.... a lot of cleaning and scrubbing floors as well as good old nookie - if you're not already on a sex ban that is!! (She may want to pass on the last one!)
Good luck to you both!0 -
poundland had it a while back ,havent looked for it for ages though as our lot hated it.0

Try nipple stimulation, it helped move my little sod. He was 8 days over and didnt want to move. The midwife recommended it to me, and I was suprised at how quick it made me have contractions.0 -
I went 13 days overdue with my 2nd (hes 5 now bless him) and my midwife suggested the "3 hots" . Hot curry , hot bath and hot sex . Not neccessarily in that order.
Also sitting on a dining room chair backwards so that the back of the chair is pressed into your chest. Its supposed to help the baby descend further into the birth canal.0
