Hi,
I have a friend who is in the process of paying off his mortgage with his lender - nationwide. Do you think it would be better to leave a small amount left on the mortgage so that he does not have to pay to have his deeds stored safely ?
Any advice you can offer asap ?
Thanks,

The information on the deeds are now stored at the land registry
Lots of lenders are now sending all the history( deeds) of properties to the owners0
