RBS Mortgage - Watch out, they will do anything!

As Tigerfeet says, it pays to check your account everyday.
I have had two companies who have agreed to continue supplying me with their services, but have both used new direct debit mandates to try and collect amounts included in the BR. In both cases, Co-op immediately reversed the entries
The Coop have been a great bank from the start - you can all them 24/7 and they are always really helpful - couldnt wish for a better bank:):j Goodbye debt - Hello sanity! :j0 -

At least the co-op where on the ball and are not holding you responsible;)
It may be worth informing the OFT about this, not sure how you would word it, to be honest, as it is so bizzare, but as the implications are so serious it may be worth at least trying, you never know, maybe your not the first
Much appreciated, thanks :-):j Goodbye debt - Hello sanity! :j0 -
All they need is an account number and a sort code.
Years ago I was banking with HSBC and doing some contract work where they were paying me into HSBC directly upon presentation of invoice. I got a call from the agent to say that they had mistakenly put some huge number into my account and could I assist in sorting it out.
When speaking to HSBC, they seemed to be of the impression that they would just debit my account until I told them that they would find themselves in hot water if they did. They also wanted to sweep it under the carpet and delete all records to it whereas I insisted on having the records retained on the account and I transferred the money back to the sender.
Not an issue in the end but it just showed that when they screw up, they have a tendency to make it disappear, no doubt to prepare for the "no, not a problem here" stance they would take if they had managed to clean up all the records. Falsifying accounts it is and they would do anything and then deny it later on if they have managed to destroy the proof.0 -

.
That's all well and good, but OP has never given RBS that information, so the question still remains how the hell did they get it.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
