Where can I get free CV help/advice, please?

Options
Well, seem to have things in order at last, and have my interview at the Job Centre on Monday.:T BUT I don't have a remotely up to date CV. Are there any websites that help with this? I once paid for one, only for it to be of a far poorer quality than I could have done myself:mad:

And how is it best to word my time in the convent? 'I learnt how to tompom floors and cook cabbage in bulk' somehow doewn't seem very exciting either!

Many Thanks

Proactive worker, taking multiple roles, none to small or large for your attention, to reach successful outcome as a team are all quite good. :)

Ask at the job centre when you go in for your interview - they will be able point you in the right direction for help.
  • If you have access to a local library, you'll probably find a few books on CV's there. Second-hand bookshops might be worth a look too.

If you're going to the job centre to sort out benefits then they probably won't be expecting to see a brilliant CV at your first interview, so no need to rush. They'll just tick a box that says you need help with CV's.
