Cant figure out hte translink website

What is the best bus to get me from ballyclare to carnmoney? I think I have to just get of somewhere close and then walk or get a bus all the way into belfast and then get a red bus.

Any better ideas?

Get a car??

Seriously though, I'd like to do the simple route of Belfast to Newry or possibly one side of newry to the other.... since I know not the area it is basically impossible to work out a route using the translink website. It is seriously unhelpful for anyone lacking local knowledge.

Incidentally, the only real way to commute to newry is in a car - that strikes me as verging upon a scandalous demonstration of the capability of NI public transport.

Just checked the journey planner on Translink http://translink.co.uk/jp/jpclient.exe?NewQuery=NewQuery , seems you get a bus from Ballyclare station to Glengormley, then another bus to Carnmoney. They run all day, only takes 34 minutes in all
