H2B has coeliac disease so I'm in search of gluten-free cake.
We're planning on a single top-tier, with cupcakes underneath. Gluten-free top tier that we'll take home, and cupcakes underneath with a handful of them gluten free.
Have spoken to some cake suppliers. Not been filled with confidence by the way they've talked about gluten-free so far, and they don't do samples of them because they so rarely make them.
Does anyone have an experience of gluten-free cake in Essex? Any recommendations?
My bridesmaid's boyfriend's brother runs a cake company and he apparently does decent gluten free cakes, but he's based in Berkshire and I'd be so stressed on the day about it being transported lol. Anyone had their cake come from some distance away?
While I'm on the subject anyway, check out his website; his designs are so cool (but I'm pretty sure he'd be over our budget too): http://www.reallynicecakes.co.uk/

That would be great if you do have the name somewhere.
Found some on Google too but I'm a little reluctant to go ahead without samples or a recommendation as wedding cake is a lot of money.0 -
            Give http://www.lisamaries.co.uk/ a try!
She's making our cake and is very reasonable
I enquired about a gluten free cake as my FIL2B is coeliac, she offered to make a layer gluten free at no extra charge (have decided not to bother in the end)
There's a cafe type place in Saffron Walden thats opened that does gluten free, vegan etc cakes so will have a look in there for something little for his dad.0
