Working in Saudi - new mortgage in UK

To escape the dismal economy in the UK I recently secured a full time job in Saudi Arabia. My wife and two teenage children (late teens) remain in the UK and as such we wish to move to a bigger house (in the UK only). I am in the UK less than 90 days per financial year for tax advantages and we wish to exploit that for the 5 year contract I recently signed with my new employers.

Are there any contributors who can recommended mortgage brokers or niche players that I might contact regarding a possible new mortgage for a bigger property? I am the sole wage earner.

As long as your family is there there are some lenders that will be able to help.

Most likely will be the specialist international arms of UK lenders.

However it will all depend on the whole scenario, and the figures in question

These did use to be fairly straight forward (Bermuda, Libya, Portugal, New Zealand a few I remember), however the credit crunch means tighter lending criteria

You will probably be better ooff speaking to a whole of market mortgage adviser - if you are in Saudi maybe one that could deal over the internet may suit you better

No its a Saudi company based in Jeddah (second biggest city in Saudi Arabia). No branches at all in the UK.
