Vanquis refusing to take payment without a telephone number.

Just had a massive row with Vanquis while trying to make a payment, they have refused outright to take any payment over the phone without a landline number.:mad:. There is no phone number reqestered to the account and the only reason I phoned in the first place is the statement is missing in action somewhere in Royal mail.

Hi
Do you have any old statements so you could go into the bank and pay it directly?0 -
Could you tell them you don't own a phone and say you are calling from work?
Sounds like you got someone who just enjoys making things difficult. I can't believe this is company policy. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Why dont you just say there is no Landline and give them a mobile number, at least it will enable you to make a payment. I always give company's like that my old mobile number (no longer in use) because they will just hastle you if you give them a current number! Good luck0
