I've scanned over these forums for a few months now and not registered until now. Things are a bit critical. I cant even get my head around what I owe at the moment. I'm hoping by starting this thread it will be the start of me gaining control and getting rid of my debt.
I've not particularly been stupid, but its been about 6 years of bad luck which I'm hoping to counteract; had a horrible expensive divorce where I bought the house (resembling a building site £68k) and the debt (£17k all of his... yes I regret it now...) just to get the crazy (literally
) fool out of my life; was persuaded to take a job away from home as my new partner couldnt find work where we lived, I'm still trying to sell the house (dirt cheap!) four years later; my partner is poorly (arthritus and general mobility problems and too dyslexic to try and get a 'normal' job) so only works self employed part time; when I changed jobs I found I was pregnant with my beautiful wee boy I had just moved out so wasn't entitled to maternity pay, so out went any savings I had; the recession hit so I volunteered to work away from home, but I only get travel expenses, no disuption/accomodation allowances etc, 10 months on and I'm sick of it I just want to be at home with my boys
.
Theres other things, but I'm basically stressed at work, stressed over money, missing my family and feel totally out of control and fighting crazy thoughts.
So... this leads me to here.... I figure if I can get back in control of my money situation, the rest will slot back into place.
So in summary I have to pay for two houses, two sets of bills, massive debts (they just get bigger with only one wage
)
So I've started here, fingers crossed I dont get dragged off to the nut house before I sort out this SO thingy.
And then its off to the garage to get some new tyres which I can't afford but one is almost bald and I got a nail in the other one this morning (think I murdered someone in a previous life as my Karma aint great)
Hope I haven't scared anyone off replying:eek:
Tx

I feel I have to explain the cars, my OH is a mechanic and does up the sells crash damaged vehicles, I've included them as assets, but will be sold once finished (time dependant on his health)
Also council tax etc is high as we missed a couple of payments and have two properties to tax (wont give me a discount on the empty one)
Ive tried renting out the empty one, I think it just scared buyers off, so its staying empty until it sells.
On another plus point we have loads of junk (esp car parts) so have lots to ebay and are already at it0 -
hi
just wanted to say welcome and good luck you have started the road and many turns it may have but it will get to the end.
def ebay away anything you can i have made quite a lot through doing that (although a pain actually doing it)
