Keeping stainless steel nice

I have a few stainless steel kitchen items and appliences - kettle, scales, pans etc. I try and keep them nice by washing and wiping them down but there always seems to be marks on them that don't scrub off, or watermarks after I've cleaned them.
Any tips on keeping them sparkly clean?

The best thing to use on stainless steel is baby oil
It makes it stay clean for so much longer & is easy to do. Just rub a small amount in to leave it mark free.

HelenWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

If I run out of stainless steel cleaner then I just wipe it with a damp sponge and then get a soft teatowel and work that elbow grease and buff away.
Other than that I buy Asda's stainless steel cleaner, spray it on, rub and then wipe and buff off.0 -
Vote no 4 for baby oil - cheap is just as good as anything - put a bit on kitchen paper, lightly rub on; rub off & it's like new!!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

baby oil is good for stainless steel that has a grain to it; if it is polished stainless, then you need to use something alcohol based, like vodka... i used to work in a factory manufacturing stainless steel products and that's what they used to finish the products off (i.e. remove fingermarks, etc.)0

That's what they told the accountants they were buying the vodka for, at least....:rotfl:Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
