Remortgage help needed

I really need to remortgage for £8k. My house is worth approx £100k and i have a mortgage of £64000 left to pay - so id be looking for remortgage for approx £8-£9k. i cant seem to get a mortgage anywhere as i have 2 debts that i didnt pay for a while then they got passed on to debt collection places. i have been religiously paying them for over a year - no payments missed but cant get a mortgage anywhere!

anyone any ideas what i can do?

    You should be able to get a mortgage

    i havent looked at it since july, but it will show 2 debt collection agencies, and 2 credit card arrangements. in total i owe about £6k. i need the £8k to buy my brother out of the house. he's willing to take £8k and leave.

    I went ot a mortgage broker and he said i earn enough to be able to get one, but the debt collection agencies are stopping me getting from re-mortgaging/ getting a whole new mortgage in my name
