Discount tracker has 2 months to go ... switch to the SVR ?

Hi all,
My Halifax discount tracker (BoE - 0.04%) comes to an end in 2 months time - oh, well it was good while it lasteed - and I am now looking round for another deal.
Halifax's current SVR is 3.5% - which I can't see going up drasctically, if at all, in the next 2 months - so I was wondering .... what with the, arguably, extortionate fees going round at the moment, am I better off sticking with Halifax on their SVR for the foreseeable future ? eg I can't see many deals offering deals anywhere close to 3.5% without a huge, sometimes 4 figure, fee attached.
TIA for any help.
Regards,
Adam Brunt

Hi Adam,
I'm in the same boat, Halifax mortgage ends end of November.
I have been looking around and the best i have seen is with Alliance and Leicester. Two rates at present both track BoE and at present are 2.95%. Fees range from Zero to £495, to get the Zero fee you need to have a Premier current account. One of these accounts requires you pay £500 a month into it but you could always withdraw that shortly afterwards.
Hope this helps, would be interested in knowing if anyone else knows of a better tracker deal?0
