This may seem a strange question for a male to be asking, however I thought it maybe worth a shot.

I am currently plagued with hair growing between my eyebrows and on my nose, is there anything I can do to remove this? I currently use tweezers and scissors however its very time consuming. I also have problems with hair growing on the tips of my ears, I was given a tip to burn it off with a match which has worked reasonably well, however its not possible to use this on the nose etc.

I would also like to know if little gadgets that can be used to trim nostril hair are any good.

Thanks in advance.

If you go to a beauticians (yes) a beautician you can have the hair between your eyebrows treated with electrolysis to permanently remove them.

Your brave using a match near your ears, they might be able to do those too.

The electric hari nasal gadgets work pretty well, i think lots of men use them now. Thank god. the sight of Nasal hair is disgusting = yuk
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • There are a number of grooming salons especially for men now if you don't fancy going to a ladies one but I guess it depends on where you are. Eyebrow hairs can be removed using a technique called "threading" and that can often be done quite quickly. Asian ladies are past-masters at this so perhaps that might be an option for you as well. Or you could buy one of those nasal-hair gadgets and try doing your eyebrows with that. Carefully.

    Thanks Guys.

I didn't think I would have as many options, I like the sound of electrolysis as it sounds more permanent, is it expensive if I went for nose, ears, forehead and eyebrows? I obviously know this may vary depending on the salon.

    Hi,

All hair - including nasal and ear hair - can be waxed off, if you're up for it.

If you do decided to go down that route, don't just go to a salon that offers warm wax - you need somewhere that offers hot wax, this sets solid and doesn't require strips to remove it. Even better if you can get to a specifically male salon.

ETA: unfortunately, electrolysis shouldn't be used around the eye area because it carries a risk of scarring.
  • Electrolysis is also fiercely expensive because they do each hair one at a time and you might have to do each hair more than once to permanently kill the root. It might be worth it if you were a lady with a mustache but not for your nose and ears, no. If the hairs are soft and downy but dark and noticeable you could consider bleaching but this would NOT be suitable for eyebrows, too dangerous.

Threading these sounds like an option, how permanent is it and could it be done on my ears and nose?

I bought a nasal hair grooming clipper today, brilliant purchase I now have no hairs in my nostrils at all.

You cant thread crevices so no ear/nose hair. But everything else yes. Bascially anything that you can wax you can thread. Depends on how quickly your hair grows, but usually lasts three weeks ish.

How about getting the hair lasered? I would have thought that professional places would be able to do the areas you mention and also have the correct protection for your eyes (very important). I don't think lasers can be used for inside the nose hair though.

Anyway, since the area is so small it'll take hardly any time so shouldn'y be too costly. "Sk:n Clinics" - no i, but a : - is a good place to start I think as they have places in some hospitals which makes me feel more confident in them. I went to their Sutton clinic to have a birthmark lasered a few years ago and was happy with their service and care.
