Hi Guys,
Just a quick question, after being made redundant last year, i found a new job and between me and my gf have managed to scrape a 11k deposit for a house. My new job and girlfriend are both miles 55 miles away and the commute to work, and obviously the distance from my gf is really hard.
We are looking to get a mortage for about a 100k, and thought this may be tough as my salary is 17.5k and hers is approx 16k, although my wages will increase incrementally over time. My main question is that seeing as my girlfreind is a hairdresser her basic is mininum wage 10k and the rest is commision. Has anyone any idea whether the whole of the commision would be taken into consideration ? We both have exemplorary credit records .
Any advice or views from your own experience would be greatly appreciated ! We are booked in to see a MA in 2 weeks, but we cant stand the wait !
Thanks in advance
Colin

From my experience they won't count the commission in the same way as her actual salary - for a single application I was being quoted 4 x salary + 1 x commission, but that may have changed since then.
Make sure you have the money for fees, moving etc - it can stack up!0
