List of things to do for free or on a budget!

Hi, since debt busting I have tried to think of cheap or even better free things to do! Thought a thread offering suggestions would be a good idea, so i'll start :D
  • Hosting a party such as Ann Summers, Body Shop or Virgin Vie - these parties are free to have at your home and fun, just ask everyone to bring a bottle. Also as the host you generally get a cut of whatever the consultant has made in orders to spend on products, at my last virgin vie party I purchased 4 wine glasses, and 16 piece dining set and also received a neckerlace as a hostess gift :D
So whose next....
:j6 debts cleared since joining MSE:j
 Remaining debts... Very / Halifax Loan/ A&L / Virgin cc / Lloyds / Sister

Walking is free and good for you, and if you find it all a bit pointless, try geocaching (if you've never heard of it, pop it into google. Its basically a bit like a treaure hunt using GPS. And not for actual treasure, sadly!)

Also because I'm a bit sad, I like selling on ebay, especially when you get a bidding war on an item which someone has told you you'll never manage to sell ;)
    Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44

In summer I like taking a book and a picnic to the park. You can get books from the library or freegle for free, and you'd have to eat at home anyway!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

  • Church! A nice modern one with a rockband, that gives you lunch too :D
  • freecycle (or whatever they are called now- check freebies section (under stuff for sale, bizarrely!) - might be a bike offered, to get some exercise.. maybe even a camera to take pics as you go, get processed at jesosps (code SM50 gets 50 free prints)- or upload to flickr, possible good ones can get selected by a commerical pic agency = £££???
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)
