I've just found https://www.awesomebooks.co.uk and bought two used books for 1p each with free P&P! You need to buy two books for free P&P and they've got quite a few children's books on their 1p list. They've quite a few other books at reasonable prices too. I think they are all second hand, but not sure.

It tells me that theres a problem with the websites security cert and tells me to shut it down.
Shame, would have been a great deal!0 -
Maybe it didn't like me buying two books for 2p. Have only just done it.0

No physical contact details on their website only an email address.
Got to ask why pay people to buy books from them? Buying two books for 2p and getting free shipping, which even at business discount rates would mean it is costing them money to process the orders.

It did take me to the payment screen though. I chose 4 childrens books and although when you get to the payment screen it says that its only free delivery on orders over £25, it was still showing the total cost for the order as £0.04. I closed it anyway as soon as it came up with that message. Oh well!0 -
yes it sounds a bit suss to me with very limited contact by only email means0

They also sell on Amazon, where many books are sold for 1p, though not postage free. The books from their website don't seem to be postage free either. When you put a couple of books in the basket and go to checkout, there's a notice saying "We can offer free shipping worldwide but only to selected destinations". When you click on that, a postage chart comes up. The postage rates aren't high, but only the first book is free. Very misleading.0 -
I'm getting worried now! It was a hpps site and my credit card was only charged 2p. The confirmation e-mail came happily too. If you continue through a bit further, you'll see it gives you free postage. I'll post if any books arrive!0

I've just checked their 1p books and there are only 11 left -- when I did it there were 37. It looks like people have been moving in on this offer now.0

Oh well, if your card was only charged 2p, maybe it's just a really confusing website.0 -

They use Worldpay to process payments so you should be safe because it is operated by RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland).0
