Lots of 1970's-80's handknits........what to do with them????

Had coffee with a friend today who had 3 large black bags of hand knitted tops.
All very well made, in natural fibres and various styles/patterns.
Her sister made them in the 70's & 80's, sadly when she died my friend couldn't part with them.
I suggested she give them to charity but she felt somehow this would be 'disloyal' to her departed sister, yet they are getting in her way.
She said she would sell them but at £10 a time!
Although I believe they are worth it, I think she isn't being realistic pricewise and unless she found a specialist buyer would get that for the whole lot!
I used to design, make and own a knitwear shop but can't really think how or what could help her on this one.
She doesn't have the internet but I said I would throw the question out to all the OS'ers and see what they come up with, because they always do!
Over to you ........................??????????????????
