Was in supermarket today and a large tray of southern fried chicken portions was in the reduced cabinet (8 pieces for £2) going to cook it tonight but what would you serve it with - fancy something a bit different than boring old chips

I second the corn on the cob and coleslaw. Also, make some traditional Texan baked beans.Foreign politicians often zing stereotypical tunes, mayday, mayday, Venezuela, neck

we usually have potato wedges (since the oven is on anyway), salad and mayo - or roast pots and a mixed veg.Every days a School day!0

Definitely coleslaw as it is a nice contrast to the spices on the chicken!
Cook potato wedges in the oven at the same time as you cook the chicken.0 -
coleslaw/rice salad/ potato wedges/ potato salad/ put it in wraps?0
-
Corn on the cob (which is very cheap) - break one ear into three handy sized pieces.
Wedges or chips (obviously).
Basically you could go and look in your local Kentucky and see what they do!0 -
