Payplan payments going awol!!

Has anyone had this before? Been with Payplan since January and regular payments come out of my account on the 1st of every month via standing order. Yesterday I got a letter from Skycard saying they have not received any type of payment for the last 3 months!!! I will be livid if this wrecks my DMP .

Spoke to Payplan who confirm the payments were sent out for July, August and September - this is really strange because the account has not been passed on to a DCA and I havent changed account numbers.
Skycard state they needed confirmation via telephone from a Payplan representative confirming the payments had been sent. Payplan spoke to Skycard who refused to speak to Payplan until they had received a new up to date authority to act. What a mess .

Any advice would be appreciated xxx

  • iv had the same problem with barclaycard saying they have not recieved payments from payplan ,its sounds like they are trying it on so that you will pay more
  • Barclaycard were the same with me. They were just being difficult and throwing their toys out of the pram because I'd gone onto a dmp and wanted to seem to be difficult in the hope that they could get more out of me.

If PP have been paying them then there should be proof of payment. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  • mmmm strange one this one, i too am with Payplan and Barclaycard, i have been with Paylan since March 09 apparantely Barclaycard refused payments in April although i have received nothing from them to say so and Payplan are still making payments to them all very strange.
    Payment 7 of 102
  • Barclaycard usually eventually accept. Payplan will continue to make payments even if creditors do refuse, this is normal practice. A creditor generally will accept after a while. They just like to get stroppy for a while to see how far they can push you - well that was my experience with Barclaycard. B/c will have temper tantrums. I've been on my dmp since January last year and up until May 08 they were a pain in the a**e. I've not heard a peep out of them since then apart from statements and they have frozen interest and charges since then.

  • My Partner and I have been with Payplan now for about 5 years or so. We have for some reason been passed through to there Portugese office, This creates a few problems. Firstly, can never get hold of them to speak to. Next there always seems to be a slight Language Barrier. Finally the time difference means that when we do finally get a call back it can be nearly 8pm!
We once spoke to the Citizens advice bureau for advice for debt managment and they began to tell us about payplan. When we told them that we were already with their Portugese office we were laughed at and told there was no such thing. We insisted there was and the man there found this so amusing that he wandered off to tell his colleagues there which completely wasted our time booked with him.
We have recently had letter to say that creditors are not receiving our payments. However when we speak to payplan they say they have sent it. We are seriously thinking of using another debt management company.
