The recording will take place at The London Studios, Upper Ground, Southbank SE1 9LT (nearest train/tube station is Waterloo).

Age range for the recording is strictly 15 and above.

You need to be logged in to be able to request tickets.

If your application is successful they will email you an e-ticket with all the information for the show at least 7 days before the recording.

Tried all dates, same message for each:

"Sorry there are no tickets remaining for that date, please select another date/time."
  • Oh no, sorry about that!

You might want to add this to your favourites though and keep and eye on it from time to time just in-case you have an inclination of going in the future.
  • I'm going for Armstrong & Miller tickets - thanks OP!!

I wasnt registered on this site before I saw your post but have managed to have my application accepted for 2 tickets on 8th April. It took a while as web page kept expiring through different parts of the process but I stuck with it.

Took several attempts to get application accepted cant remember exact message that came up, something about not being able to save my ticket request I think, but as it still said Tickets Available I just kept trying. At first different dates and then stuck to the one. Did wonder how long I would keep it up for! :D

Anyone know how long they usually take to email you that your application has been successful? Just have the email to say it has been accepted at the moment. :)

Having been to a few shows (QI, Frank Skinner Show), you need to be prepared to arrive EARLY and queue up. No matter what you consider to be early, there will be a lot of people ahead of you in the queue and the tickets do NOT guarantee entry.

    Just beware...

Thanks for the tip. It will be an excuse for a day in London if not anything else. Thought if we get a ticket could catch a morning train and maybe check lunchtime for queue or are you talking earlier than that?

Tickets are already saying no longer available.

It was a while since we went to QI but we went a few times and it was popular, but not as popular as HIGNFY will be. If it's being recorded on the South Bank then there's plenty to do there in any case, so you could pop along every now and again.

From memory, I left work early (I work in the City) and met my wife there and we were still queuing back in the street. Most people will leave work early (for an early evening recording) but some will take the day off and there'll be a fair few lazy students - JOKE!!

Once the people that work on the show appear, they'll normally wander down the line and let people know if they're likely to get in or not.
The studios do hold a lot of people so don't get disheartened if there are a lot of people ahead of you. Just wait til the TV people appear and ask them if you're likely to get in.

Thanks its good to know that they tell you if you are likely to get in. Yes it is being recorded on the Southbank so it will be nice just to have the day together as OH has been working flat out lately. I didnt think he would pass on the opportunity so fingers crossed for the e-ticket for two!
