I have a £3 healthy start voucher to top up veg next week, aside from that, everything needs to be in this shop.
What should I get??? It needs to be cheap, but I want healthy so not the cheapest if that makes sense.
It needs to include,
at least 8 meals for 2 adults and 2 children
but happy to make bigger portions or more meals as can freeze
5 at home lunches for 1 child
3 packed lunches for same child
2 weekend (so possibly at home/at park lunches for 2 children)
bottled water
Thinking I'll need to freeze milk/bread but have never done this in my life... how do you effectively defrost??

Hello Snow.....Advice on what to buy at Asda to last 2 wks for 2x adults and 2 x children. I would start by looking on www.mysupermarket.com to find the 2 for 1 offers. Then turn to the essentials = milk, tea, coffee, sugar, squash. Move on to lots of fruit and vegetables/potatoes. Bread. Marg and cheese. Cooked meats for sandwiches. Eggs. Jelly to make @ home for the children with a small icecream tub. Then of course meat if you are not a veggi. Mince, chicken and stewing steak for the slow cooker.
Toilet rolls and washing liquid/powder.Bubble bath etc...
Oh I would check the cupboards for the flour etc to do some baking.
Happy Shopping...JulieIf winter comes, can spring be far behind?
