What to do in Leeds

I am visiting Leeds for a few days. Can anyone give me some ideas for things to do and visit. Love shopping :jbut what else should I do and see.

You'll have lots of opportunities for shopping.
Apart from that, the Tropical world is nice, the new Leeds City Museum, the Thackeray Medical museum is very interesting.
Also check what's playing at the Grand.

Theres also the Whilte Rose shopping center a few miles out of town. Easy get to via bus or car (just had thought for leeds council, the place could do with a rail link direct to leeds train station, think of the potential).

Leeds will have a tourism website, always worth looking at that to see if anything takes your fancy!

Thanks to all who replied. I visited the Armouries Museum and was greatly entertained by a knight in full armour giving a talk about the battle of Bosworth and also listened to a talk about falconry with a real falcon. I visited the Leeds Museum( great tearoom) and saw all the exhibits and liked the stuffed animals and also visited the Art Gallery. The shops - well what can I say- had to go to the market to buy an extra case to take all my buys home.:rotfl: Had a great 5 days there and will go back another time. :j
