  • I felt a bit strange for a while, even though I was relieved that I didn't have to think about wedding stuff all the time, I did feel a bit flat realising it was over. Didn't help that I started a new job a month after coming back from honeymoon, lots of big changes!

You definitely need some kind of project, planning a holiday, decorating, something crafty, whatever you're into.
Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Its no different from post holiday blues, its something you've been looking forward to and once its over its a 'bump' back to real life!! I have to plan a house move straight after so hopefully that will keep me busy!

Don't worry Neeny you're not the only one to feel that way!

Hve you organised your photos, sent off thank you cards? Have you got a DVD of the day? Get your BMs and groomsmen round to relive the day. That's what we're doing :)

I don't feel at all sad (more relieved!) but feel a little strange when I hear friends talking about their wedding planning. I am glad to have my life (and money!) back though.

There was another thread about it on here a couple of weeks back. I had it really badly was in tears for days so at least you know you are not alone. As for babies being the way forward - thats fine but not when you're 45  :rotfl:

  • hey, you looked gorgeous in your photos. perhaps, you need another hobby to fill the void, did you spend ages reading wedding forums and getting excited? my mum kept saying what will you fill your time with once you're married but we both have gone back into full time education as students and it's more than keeping us busy
 married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-09:love:
