credit check

hi all

looking to move house, just done credit check on myself, got a score of 894 on experian.

payed mortgage / phone / loan/ credit card by direct debit never missed a payment but have 1 credit card not on direct debit and was late paying it on 6 occasions. i now know how stupid this was just did not bother / get time to get into branch to pay it on time.

as it is only on one debt and everything else was all paid on time will this be a major problem in obtaining credit / mortgage?

Hi Pumpkin

This should not be a huge issue. Obviously it means your record isn't perfect but many people's are not (and many are a lot worse than this).

That said as you are probably aware it is becoming much more difficult to get mortgages, will you have a reasonable deposit / equity to put towards your new house - this will be a much more important factor.
