money off at asda

wasn't sure where to post this so thought here might be good.

I was shopping in asda a few weeks ago and had all 4 of my kids with me,i had lost count of the amount i had spent and when it all went through the checkout i was mortified to see that i had gone £15 over what i had in my purse, normally this wouldn't be a problem as hubby would just use the card but i don't have a card and he wasn';t with me.

Standing at the checkout red faced i told the cashier to take away the clothes i had picked up because the food was more important, and to my huge surprise she could obviously see i was embarrassed and very harrassed with the 4 kids being tired and grumpy (i now make a rule of not shopping with more than one kid LOL) and she told me to not worry because she had vouchers behind the counter she could use against my shopping bill.

She scanned £15 worth of vouchers and was more than happy to do so,i was really grateful to her and pleased as punch at the same time because i got £15 worth of shopping for nothing.

I have no idea if they can do this at any time or if this cashier was just being sympathetic but i thought i would pass the info on anyway.
Finally got rent arrears paid off and now have an extra £300 per month, life looks a little bit sweeter.:T

We do have smiley vouchers which are worth upto £1 but can only give one a week. That girl will be in serious trouble (not your fault I know) if she gets caught. She should not have done that.

serious trouble possibly, although i can imagine the OP probably wont forget that gesture and will continue to shop there for a long time, if i was her boss i would be pleased at what she had done.
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
