My exMIL got reported to social services for looping the kids reins over the washing line!! Bide your time - one day they will be old enough to bring you a lemsip in bed and cook their own tea . . . . .
    One life.
  • Jenn what's the age limit on that then? My oldest is 20 and I'm still not allowed to be ill

Apparently it's in the parental responsibility technical manual...

    117 section 20: Parental sickness:

Father is allowed unlimited amounts of time off through the debilitating and medically recognised sickness MAN-FLU and requires bed rest and waitress service for any beer related illness [amended to recognise 'that dodgy bag of nuts' or 'only had one must've been a bad pint' as valid reasons]

Mother is not allowed to be sick it is against all the parental regulations, all sickness days must be used up before childbirth. In an emergency such as leg being severed mother is allowed to go to A&E but must take children with her and stop moaning its only a scratch. If mother HAS to take bed rest the penalties will be a wrecked house, a toast filled DVD player and all animals let loose.Consequently all children must bounce on mothers head until she gets up.

Can't argue with the manual ;)
