I have had enough... Cant take much more.

Hi all..

I will get round to doing SOA, but quick background. OH works 70 odd hours a week self employed. I work part time in evenings. We are about £60k in debt and I have had enough of the stress.

A lot of it has been my fault. I used to run a bisiness which went into liquidation last year and we have been living off cards etc for far too long.

I just dont think I can cope with the stress much longer. We have a little boy who is 1 and amazing bt I cant help feeling we are letting him down by constantly stressing.

We are just about managing all min payment and my credit rating is excellent... but dont know for how much longer...

Sorry for ranting... I have been an avid reader of this forum so I know there must be a way out... I just cant see it for ourselves at the moment...

  • Hi. You've taken the first step in admiting how you are feeling. Trust me when I say thay lots of people on this board will identify with you and will be very supportive. If you could take the time to work out your soa people will have a look to see where you can cut back.

You might also consider making an appointment with your doctor as you sound very stressed. Some of the debt counselling charities would be worth contacting as well to see if they can suggest a way forward for you.

The most important thing is your health and your family - money worries can always be sorted out. Good luck.

  • We all have good days and very bad days. The secret is to make sure the budget is done then forget about it, once you know what you can do and are doing your best no amount of worry or stress will make any differeance.

  • off the top of my head before seeing the SOA, can you do any balance transfers to any 0% credit cards? Then at least you won't be paying interest too.

    Hi itsgottogetbetter

Things really can get better if you start to take control of your finances - you say you have been living off your cards but I'm sure you know that that isn't sustainable in the long run.

You do need to sit down and spend some time working out your current position and posting up an SoA. Once you start to take control and get some professional debt advice then you will be less stressed and have more time and energy to focus on your family and your little boy.

I'm sure there is a way out of your situation and once we see your position we will all do our best to advise you on the charges you can make.

    Hi

You've taken the first step so well done. As I keep saying on here, the people on here are fantastic and both support and advice so dont give up, keep posting your progress and it will give you inspiration to keep going.

As alwaysworking said make an appointment to see your doctor they will help one way or another. It is really hard work being a mum so don't beat yourself up about being stressed.

Take care and when you post your SOA you will get more help. x
