Hi everyone
Been in my present house some 2.5yrs and looking at moving on. This house was new in 2003 at is now valued at £155-160K. The new build I'm looking at is approx £180k. I have approximately 45K in my house. To move I need to get 10% or more off the new house off plan. The particular plots will not be release for another 6-18mths depending on build schedule. A first time buyer last time I need advice on how I should pursue this. Without the discount its a no go, and the more discount I can get is a bonus - perhaps 15%.

Read Andy smiths gudie to property purchases which is a sticky on the house purchase and selling board. the orig post is by doozergirl. good way to negotiate a purchase price is by instructing your mortgage advisor (who much not be connected to the builders) to do it for you. If you are wiithout chain. i.e. you have exchanged on your property you are in a better position. A whole of market advisor should be able to advise you fully on this.I am a Mortgage Adviser
