Charity BBQ, best place for cheap good quality burgers ?

Hi
I am tasked with running a BBQ at a charity / fund raising bash.
Where is the best place to get some decent burgers, sausages and rolls etc ?
I don't want to get the very cheap recycled cardboard, sawdust and onion ones !!
I was planning on going to one of the local supermarkets, or a friend of mine has a Bookers cash and carry card.
Any recommendations on where to go and what brand to buy?
TIA

Costco's fresh and frozen burgers are superb.

My local Lidl are doing 8x 100% (Irish Beef) Quarter Pounders (frozen) for £1.29. Works out at 16p each! Very tasty and hardly shrank in the George Formby....:DI spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

costco burgers are a tad expensive for a bbq if your needing alot of them but they certainly are yummy.
Booker cash n carry are by far the best value £9.99 for a box of 80 really nice burgers but they quite often do a deal where you buy one box and get one box free. Finally got rent arrears paid off and now have an extra £300 per month, life looks a little bit sweeter.:T0 -
what are the membership criteria for Bookers - we have one near us and I would LOVE to go there, but am too embarrassed to go and ask.just in case you need to know:

I bought Birds Eye original (not 1/4 pounders) on Sunday from ASDA.
Got 32 for £4
There is a multibuy on the 12 packs - 2 for £4 (£2.48 each I think)
However Birds-Eye are doing extra quantities on these at the minute.
The 4 pack +2 free contains 6,
the 8 pack +4 free has 12,
and the 12 pack + 4 free contains 16.
so 32 for £4 = 12.5 p each
Be quick though, I'm sure the mutitbuy offer ends on Friday. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Your local butcher may be able to do a good deal, we did it this way once. You have to watch though that as previously mentioned sometimes you can get a better deal on offers from supermarkets. If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
Why practice!:T0 -

Thanks for the replies.
I will check out Bookers and Asda this weekend, as they are the closest for me at about 10 miles distant.0 -
Make your own ... seriously, with a decent local butcher and a food processor, they're sure to be the best bet.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
