Just a bit of an update. We had got the mortgage approved subject to valuation which unfortunately for us came back as £25,000 under ie £210,000 (nothing structural just market values) the bank have now revised the mortgage offer up 0.5% interest rate as we now fall into the <75% LTV catagory but we still meet affordabilty.
As we want really want the house we have just accepted this - we do not plan to move on - it is 1940's detached red brick with large mature garden, garage and some outbuildings so there is loads of potential in the years to come to make improvements to the property.
My question would be how long does it take, normally, from signing the mortgage offer to getting the keys? I am getting impatient now and I think I need a realistic time frame to work to. I should note I would have asked the solicitor but she is court all day and therefore I cannot get in touch with her.
Thanks in advance.0
